To be honest I can't recall if my windows is legitimate or not, and even if it is I really dislike these hoops I have to jump through, why not just let me download the darn thing and use it easily etc.Īnyone got any advice on a simple setup scanner like I used to use? I don't need anything fancy, just to show me what my neighbors channels are and hopefully one that picks up their signals effectively, that's really about all I need.Ĭheers and sorry if this is a common question, I googled first but some posts are years old and tech is always moving forward, figured it's worth asking again today. LizardSystems has released a new Wi-Fi Scanner tool, which allows for fast and informative scans of. I've looked at "Wifi Analyzer" and it's asking me to sign into microsoft accounts and whatnot which is annoying and I don't want to do that. As the adoption of wireless networks for personal and business networks becomes increasingly more rapid, the need for tools which give detailed information about nearby networks has grown. I used to have a great app for this but it was on an older PC so I don't have it anymore on my current one, and have no clue what it was. I just want to figure out which channel to set my wifi to based on what my neighbors are using, and preferably have the app be on my PC not a phone or whatever else.
